Candace Keegan Masters grew up in Niagara Falls, NY. She holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in painting from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, a Master of Science in Teaching and a BA in studio art from State University of New York College at Potsdam. Her work has been exhibited in Buffalo, NY, Miami, Florida, Washington, DC, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Kansas, New York, NY, Chicago, Ill, California, Soul Korea and Beijing, China. Ms. Masters is currently an Associate Professor of Art Education at SUNY Buffalo State.
The robots represent characters in an ongoing narrative. As subjects, each carries symbolism commenting on technology, societal demands and societal programming. They include allusions to issues of contemporary society, each taking on distinctly human qualities.
